About Me

Hi I’m Melisssa Gutheil and I am a freshman athletic training major at the University of Delaware. I’ve always loved to help others and gained a large interest in the field through my own high school athletic trainer. I grew up in Bridgewater, New Jersey and worked with my athletic trainers there as I had frequently injured myself playing field hockey and lacrosse. Some of my biggest interests are dogs, Disney, coffee, and the New York Rangers. I love to spend time with my family and friends. My best friend is my mom and I couldn’t live without my dog Tucker. I like to spend a lot of my days at the beach. A huge interest of mine is science. I’ve always loved to learn and figure out new things. For me, my research topic presented a way for me to expand science and health care to people who don’t typically believe in it, and to also state my own opinion in a world of debate.
